Where two worlds meet

Modern longevity helps us live longer. We explore how to live deeper.

The world's most important questions have never changed. How do we stay healthy? How do we remain resilient? How do we find meaning?

Today these questions are being explored through longevity research, medicine and neuroscience. For centuries they have also been explored through wisdom traditions, contemplative practices and systems of healing.

Aloka exists where these worlds meet.

The three dimensions of longevity

Most approaches reach the body. Few reach the whole of a life.

Body

  • Vitality
  • Recovery
  • Movement
  • Nutrition
  • Health

The foundation of a long life.

Mind

  • Clarity
  • Resilience
  • Focus
  • Adaptability
  • Presence

The foundation of a balanced life.

Being

  • Purpose
  • Connection
  • Belonging
  • Meaning
  • Wisdom

The foundation of a fulfilling life.

Most approaches to longevity focus on the first. Some explore the second. Very few explore all three.

Our gatherings

Every gathering explores a dimension of a life well lived.

Each Aloka gathering brings guests into direct encounter with exceptional physicians, researchers, teachers and wisdom keepers from around the world.

The physicians

Knowledge carried by people who have devoted their lives to it.

Dr Aparna Padmanabhan, PhD

Ayurvedic Physician · PhD

A PhD-trained physician from a Kerala lineage with a family hospital and patients across more than forty countries. She leads personal consultation, pulse diagnosis and each guest’s individual diet and lifestyle plan.

Dr Abhishek Joshi, PhD

Yoga & Meditation Physician

A physician specialising in breathwork, movement and meditation. He guides the daily practice — pranayama, gentle yoga and contemplative sessions — that anchors the mind and being dimensions of the gathering.

The Alpine Longevity Gathering

Ancient medicine.
Modern longevity.

For the first time in Europe, Dr Aparna Padmanabhan, PhD, and Dr Abhishek Joshi, PhD, bring their work together for an intimate gathering in the Swiss Alps.

Modern longevity fixates on biomarkers, supplements and technology. Ayurveda has asked a deeper question for thousands of years:

How do we extend not only lifespan, but healthspan, vitality and meaning?

The Alpine Longevity Gathering explores where these two worlds meet.

A living medical tradition refined over generations, now meeting the modern search for measurable health, resilience and longevity.

This gathering is designed for a small number of guests seeking a deeper understanding of health, longevity, prevention and human vitality.

Over two days, participants explore

The Ayurvedic view of longevity & healthy living Personal constitution & health tendencies Pulse diagnosis & individual consultation Sleep, stress & nervous-system regulation Digestion, metabolism & energy Yoga, pranayama & daily practices for long-term health

This is not a retreat.
It is an introduction.

A rare opportunity to learn directly from two highly respected physicians and experience a tradition that continues to inform the health of millions of people today.

The Aloka method

A gathering you feel. A 90-day arc you can measure.

The gathering is the beginning, not the whole. Each guest leaves with a personalised plan and a follow-up — so change is measured against their own starting point, not a promise.

Day 0

Baseline

At the gathering: full consultation, pulse diagnosis and a lifestyle assessment. Your starting markers across body, mind and being are recorded.

Days 1–30

Protocol

A written, personalised plan to take home — diet, daily practice, breathwork and herbal support — built by Dr Aparna for your constitution.

Days 31–60

Integration

Light check-ins keep the plan alive in everyday life, with adjustments as your routine settles and the early markers begin to move.

Day 90

Follow-up

A re-assessment with your physician. The same markers, measured again — so you can see exactly what has shifted, and what comes next.

Body

  • Sleep quality & energy
  • Digestion & appetite
  • Resting heart rate
  • Weight & body composition

Mind

  • Perceived stress
  • Focus & clarity
  • Mood & steadiness
  • Daily practice adherence

Being

  • Sense of meaning
  • Connection & belonging
  • Reflective wellbeing
  • Intentions for the year

Measured at Day 0 and again at Day 90 — against your own baseline.

Our philosophy

We are not interested in choosing between science and wisdom.

We are interested in what becomes possible when they meet.

Because the future of longevity is not only about adding years to life. It is about bringing life to those years.

The setting

A private alpine chalet, above the lakes.

Three days lived in a hand-built Swiss chalet of warm timber and stone — communal tables, an open kitchen, sun decks and mountain silence. This is where the gathering unfolds.

Why it matters

Treated by physicians — not facilitators.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime invitation — to be cared for, in person, by two of the most revered Ayurvedic physicians in the world today. Each holds a PhD, trained in Kerala, the birthplace of Ayurveda, and carries a celebrated clinical lineage reaching back generations. They rarely leave their clinic in India. To sit across from them, in Europe, in a circle of just fourteen, is something that may never come again.

“Anyone can serve the meals and roll out the mats. Aloka’s difference is who sits across from you.”

A once-in-a-lifetime invitation

Dr. Aparna and Dr. Abhishek are based at their clinic in Kerala and rarely travel. An invitation to learn from them in person, in Europe, may never come again — and only fourteen people in the world will share this founding circle. When the seats are gone, they are gone.

Why we created Aloka

Our story

“[Daniel’s story, in your own words — what you were searching for, what you struggled with, and what changed when you found authentic Ayurvedic care and these physicians.]”

— Daniel, Founder of Aloka

Aloka was born from a meeting of two worlds: a founder who experienced first-hand what authentic Ayurvedic care can do, and a family of physicians in Kerala carrying generations of that wisdom. Together with Ayurveda Loka, we are building a bridge from the birthplace of Ayurveda to a European circle.
